根據Twitter XboxEra聯合創始人Shpeshal Nick的透露，PlayStation可能會在8月舉行一場會展，並計劃在會展上公佈卜新主機PS5 Slim。

在此之前關於PS5 Slim的傳聞很早就開始流傳了，在微軟和FTC訴訟的法庭文件中，微軟表示他們相信Sony將在今年發布PS5 Slim機型，並且售價將降至399美元。不過截止到目前，Sony官方尚未發布任何公告。
