Sony 終於對 2 月 8 日的 PSN 大規模當機事件作出回應。在修復所有 PlayStation 網路服務後，官方透過社群媒體向玩家致歉，並宣布了補償方案。
為了感謝玩家在服務中斷期間的耐心等待，所有 PlayStation Plus 會員將自動獲得額外 5 天的會籍時間。這項補償措施不需要玩家手動申請，系統將自動延長會籍期限。
Network services have fully recovered from an operational issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience. All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service.

雖然 Sony 目前仍未公開這次網路服務中斷的具體原因，但從補償方案可以看出官方對此事件的重視程度。對於擁有 PS+ 會籍的玩家來說，這無疑是個令人欣慰的補償。
