歐洲議會於2023年通過一項新規定，要求所有家用電器和消費性電子產品（包括手機、遊戲機等）中的電池應讓消費者可以「輕鬆拆卸和更換」，該規定將於2027年正式生效。

天風國際分析師郭明錤昨日透露，新款iPhone可能將採用不鏽鋼電池殼。此項改進不僅降低了拆卸電池的難度，符合歐盟規範，同時也能在符合安全標準的前提下提升電池電芯的密度，預計可提高5%至10%。
此前，有報導稱蘋果公司正在研究一種新的「電誘導黏合劑脫離」技術，旨在使iPhone系列機型的電池更換變得更為容易。
